Opportunity To Serve: San Jose Library
We are looking for reliable, intelligent and confident teens and undergrads who are passionate about helping children succeed academically. No experience necessary, as you will receive training. Opportunity is completely online via Zoom.Volunteers 18 & over will also need to be fingerprinted by the City. You will co-teach with fellow instructors on teams, helping students in grades 3 & 4 improve their reading skills while guiding them through articles on social justice issues. Topics include discrimination, both historical & present day as experienced by marginalized communities (such as people with disabilities, refugees and immigrants, people who are unhoused, LGBTQ+ and more).
