Opportunities To Serve at Rohi Christian Church

Rohi Discovery Day (Sunday, 9/17/23): This is the day in our church where attendees and members can discover all of the different teams in our church and the service opportunities within them that they can sign up to serve in. We need 3-4 volunteers for this event for help with the Welcome Table and the food and room set-up. Students need to arrive at church by 9:30am and event ends at 1PM. Rohi Go: Outreach Day (Sunday, 9/24/23): This is the day in our church where attendees and members will find out how to go outreach to those around them as well as get the opportunity to sign up for upcoming outreach events that Rohi will be hosting this year. We need 2-3 volunteers for this event to help with greeting and handing out outreach pamphlets. Volunteers will need to arrive by 9:30am to church and the event ends at 12:30pm. Rohi 15th Pastoral Anniversary Dinner (Saturday, 10/14/23): Our pastor, Pastor Sheyna James, will be celebrating 15 years of pastoral service and we are throwing a dinner for it. We will need volunteers as the following: a set-up and breakdown crew (10-15 volunteers), wait crew (waiters and waitresses), welcome crew and ushers (4-5 volunteers). We would also like to see if there are any volunteers from the VCS Jazz Band who would like to play light jazz music during the dinner for volunteer hours. The dinner starts at 5pm and goes until 9pm. Set-up of event will begin at 11am. Breakdown and clean-up of event will be until 11pm.  We have more major volunteer opportunities to come and will send those out as we get a little closer to the date. In the meantime, we have weekly volunteer service opportunities that are currently ongoing: 

 Greeters needed- Every Sunday from 9:15AM - 11:45AM - Welcome members and guests as they come into the church and direct them where to go. Training will be provided. Please contact Pastor Jewel at jewel@rohi.org if interested and available. (3-4 volunteers needed every Sunday)

 Audio/Visual Team - Every Sunday from 8:45AM - 11:45AM - Run sound equipment, set up microphones and audio equipment, livestream production, put lyrics up on ProPresenter. Training will be provided. Please contact Pastor Jewel at jewel@rohi.org if interested. (2-3 volunteers needed every Sunday). 

 Helpers (in Kids Zone) Every 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of the month from 9:15am - 11:45am (currently) and Wednesdays 7PM - 8:30PM (starting Oct. 4th)- Helpers help the teachers in the Infant, Toddler, and Elementary classrooms with anything needed including help in supervision of children. Play and interact with the children, especially to help connect the children with the lesson and within the classroom. Assist with room setup and clean-up. Volunteer Service hours: 9:15am - 11:45am (2.5 hours) on Sundays and 7:00pm-8:30pm (1.5 hours) on Wednesdays. (1-2 helpers needed every Sunday)

 Rohi Cafe: Hospitality Team- Every Sunday after service 11:30am-12:30pm - We need volunteers to work in the Rohi Cafe, taking orders, preparing food and beverages as purchased and assisting the Hospitality Team Lead as necessary. (Need 1-2 volunteers per Sunday).
