Opportunity for Summer Service with PALS- What is PALS?

As a refresher, PALS Programs has a 1:1 pairing model that partners individuals with Down syndrome with a Peer who does not have Down syndrome to experience a fun-filled, transformative week together. We are looking for 1:1 paired participants and volunteer leaders to help run our program. We think PALS could be a fun and meaningful way for students (ages 15+) to earn up to 100 service hours and we would be willing to work with any participant who might be interested in using this experience as a service project or to work towards internship hours. For any student where travel to the program is a barrier we also offer an opportunity to reimburse travel costs through our travel fund.

Any interested student can complete a short interested form found HERE. Our application to apply to be a peer volunteer is set to open on January 1st. Please let me know if you have any questions and hopefully a few students from Valley Christian can join us this summer!
