Opportunity To Serve with Foxworthy Baptist Church- Nov. 14-21

National Collection Week 2022 is only a month away!  Foxworthy Baptist Church will once again serve as a Central Drop Off Center during National Collection Week Nov.14-21.  We are encouraged to know that our church will be the beginning of a long shoebox journey culminating in a child hearing and experiencing the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Volunteers are still needed.  Please sign up here. If you are available for only a partial shift, please note availability in the comments field.

The following descriptions may help you match an assignment with your specific skills and interests.

·  Greeter/Host:  Smile, welcoming attitude, able to direct donors to next steps in the process, collect donor information
·  Packers:   Work with a partner to efficiently pack shoebox gifts into cartons according to established directions with accurate counts
·  Truck:       Requires ability to lift and stack packed cartons up to 5 stacks high inside trailer-truck.  Accuracy in recording carton counts is also important.
·  Admin. Asst:  Assistant:  Assists site director with daily record keeping and other various duties

As with last year, collection and processing at Foxworthy will take place outside.  Please dress appropriately.  Both Operation Christmas Child and Foxworthy Baptist Church are committed to ensuring that both donors and volunteers enjoy as safe an experience as possible.

·         We will again offer a contactless, drive-through option for donors, including the use of a scannable QR code to collect donor information
·         Limited number of volunteer slots and shifts
·         Foxworthy will observe all health and safety guidelines
·         Masks and gloves are recommended but not required.

Volunteers are requested to sign up for specific shifts as we cannot accommodate drop-in volunteers this year.  If you are available to be “on call” for the processing of large deliveries or end-of-day truck loading, please send me your name and phone number.
