Service Opportunity: As the cost of living rises in Silicon Valley, 1 in 4
people are at risk of hunger, with almost 720,000 people regularly skipping
meals, utilizing food banks or food stamps, borrowing money for food, or
forgoing rent or bills to purchase food. GCO has opened a Family Resource
Center at this complex that offers food 2 times a week; clothing; and emotional
support for both the complex and local communities.
Service Opportunity: On Saturday students would help us get
prepared for the upcoming week by organizing and sorting items that are
available.
