Hi Valley Community!

 Many of you have recently come to us asking to host drives in affiliation with the school, and while we love your enthusiasm, we need a way to properly address and categorize all these requests. Attached below is a Google Form managed by the Community Service Coalition. If you would like a drive, please fill out the form with all the proper requirements met.

 Below are the requirements to perform a drive at VCHS:

    • Before writing an application, you must:

a) Have a fully planned timeline, including but not limited to drive pickup dates, promotions, how long the drive will last, and storage of drive items.

b) Check in with the organization you wish to partner with and make sure they are capable and willing to host a drive.

c) Calculate all costs associated with the drive.

    • The drive must meet the following criteria:

a) Be a unique idea with a specific dedicated purpose. 

-----Drives such as "We want to partner with an organization to feed people" will be rejected.

-----Drives such as "X club would like to partner with Y organization in order to help the homeless people of X city by donating cooking supplies for a pantry dinner day at Y organization" will be considered for acceptance. 

b) Be able to succeed, assuming the student population will take the worst outcome

----- I.E. for a book drive how will you get around people only donating AP/SAT Prep Books?

c) Not collide with any other drives and/or major school events such as warrior wars, UNLESS you are specifically planning to be a drive FOR the event.
