Summer Opportunity To Serve with the Japanese Student Union and the Nikkei Matsuri Foundation
Join the Japanese Student Union for a fun volunteer opportunity at the Obon Festival in San Jose Japantown on Saturday and/or Sunday, July 12th and July 13th! Help keep the festival grounds clean and deconstruction (if volunteering on the last day), and more, while soaking in the beauty of Japanese crafts, food, and culture.
Plus, earn 3-10 nonprofit service hours depending on how many shifts you sign up for!
To volunteer, just click the sign-up sheet below and pick a time slot. Detailed instructions on what to do, where to go, and who to contact will be provided. Volunteers should meet at Jackson St & N 5th St, San Jose, CA 95112, and arrive 15 minutes early to check in at the info booth.
Wear comfy, closed-toed shoes, a hat, and sunscreen, and get ready for a day of fun and service! For any questions, reach out to Autumn Lee at autumn.lee@warriorlife.net.
After the event, add Lesly Yamatake (lesly@nikkeimatsuri.org) with Nikkei Matsuri as the organization to verify your hours. Let’s make this festival awesome together!
