Opportunity to Serve with Valley Breate Club

Hello everyone, my name is Varsha Ramachandran and I am the President/Founder of Valley Breathe. Valley Breathe is a club dedicated to spreading awareness against smoking and vaping and advocating for awareness on pulmonary diseases. We are in the process of transitioning to a non profit organization, and we need your help to increase our reach.

First of all — Why should you join Valley Breathe?

Valley Breathe is a great way to improve your public speaking and management skills, learn more about epidemics in our community, and gain valuable volunteer and research experience. Additionally, we will have officer position openings for the 2024-2025 academic year; by joining now, you can prove to our team that you have what it takes to help run VB!

1. Elementary School Visits
Valley Breathe’s main goal is to educate the younger generation on the dangers of smoking and vaping and the long term effects it has on their health. In 2021 we partnered with and received a 3500 dollar grant from the SC Department of Public health and Breathe California to pursue this project. We have reached 500 students so far and we hope to expand that number to 1000+ this year. We need your help to go to elementary school visits and help the future health of these students.

2. Social Media
We would like to improve our social media posts and create content that outlines the dangers of smoking and vaping through research and digital design. Please reach out if you are interested in joining our social media team. We would love to have you.

3. Synopsis Science Fair Project
Valley Breathe is working on a project investigating the effects of smoking on the environment. If anyone is interested in research or science fairs, multiple of our members have experience and would love to mentor you
