Community Service News

We all hope you have a great summer and we want to remind you that summer is a great time to do Community Service.  Here are a few reminders about community service and your requirements for next year.  You may start serving on June 1^st  for next year.
Requirements:
-Valley Christian requires students to complete 25 hours of service at a non-profit organization (501C3) or Christian Church each year. Something new! You will need to have completed at least 10 hours of service by the end of the first semester, 5 of those hours need to be at a Christian Church.
 
Approved List of agencies and churches (New)
We now have an approved list of non-profit 501 C3 agencies and a list of approved Churches on the Christian Service page.  If your service agency is not on this list please make sure your organization or Church meets the requirements and email Mr. Galleher for approval.

Summer Verification of Hours
X2vol, our website where you log hours is not available this summer so make sure you collect contact information from the organization at which they serve, including the email and phone number of the primary contact person.  Paper forms are not needed unless they volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank.  We will use x2vol in the fall in your Bible class.
