Dear Valley students,

Don't forget to look at the Christian Service for opportunities to serve online and in the community.  The AMSE Health and Wellness program is excited to launch their first service project this year and they would love to have you join them from your very own home! We are making hygiene kits for CityTeam. Below you will find the Amazon Wishlist, specific kit items, assembly instructions, and drop off information. Keep track of the time you spend ordering and assembling!  You will receive service hours!

Here's what to do:

  1. Read the "Specific Kit Items" list below.
    1. The plan is to have one of each of these items on the list in 1 hygiene pack. So each hygiene pack will have 9 items plus a note from you.
  2. Take a look at the Amazon Wishlist link – LINKED HERE.
    1. Some of the items can also be found at Walmart for a cheaper price.
  3. Purchase the items from the Amazon Wishlist.
    1. It's easy. Just click "add to cart" on each item (you need one of each) and then add all 9 things to your cart.
    2. Check out.
    3. Send the items to your home.
  4. Assemble the hygiene kits when your products arrive.
    1. At home, put together the kits. Feel free to make as many kits as you like.
  5. Bring the completed kits to VCHS on Oct. 6, 2020, from 7:30 am to 8:30 am.  We will be collecting kits in front of the stadium.  Please stay in your car, put on your mask, roll down your window, and pass your kit to one of the students or adults waiting.

Specific Kit Items – Each kit should have one of each of the items listed below:

  • travel size soap, travel size shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, razor, shaving cream, deodorant, reusable face mask

Assembly Instructions

  • There should be 9 items in the kit. Please do not put more than 1 of each item in a kit.
    • The 9 items listed above under “specific kit items.”  So, each kit will have 9 different items.
    • Place the 9 items in a gallon Ziploc bag.
  • We would love if you would handwrite a note to place in the bag.  (Optional)
    • Maybe an encouraging word or a verse:
      • “Praying for you in this season.”
      • Your favorite verse
      • “Blessings to you, friend.”
      • “We love you and are praying for you!”
      • “Praying for your health and safety in this season.”
  • Seal the Ziploc!  Your kit is done!

  Drop-off Information

  • Drop-off day will be on October 6th from 7:30am- 8:30 am.
  • We will be collecting kits in front of the stadium.
    • Please stay in your car, put on your mask, roll down your window and pass your kit to one of the students or adults waiting.
