Geometry

Geometry explores postulates and theorems of planar and solid geometry, parallel and perpendicular lines, polygons, and congruent and similar triangles. This course also covers special right-triangle relationships, trigonometric ratios, circles, area and volume, logic training, conditional statements, and writing various forms of proofs.  The curriculum emphasizes the development of systematic problem solving and critical reading skills in a math context.  This course is a combination of both a traditional and flipped instruction format. This daily course counts as one math course but represents two periods for scheduling purposes.

Special Note: A TI-30X or TI-84+ graphing calculator is required.
