The Math department’s comprehensive program is designed to create successful academic opportunities for all ability levels, training students to be analytical, logical, precise, and critical thinkers while exploring how mathematics reveals God’s perfection, beauty, and logic.

DISTINCTIVE EXPERIENCE AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Proficiency in mathematics is achieved through persistence, effort, and practice, and, as a result, our students outperform the national average, with many being invited to join Mu Alpha Theta, the national mathematics honor society, and participate in local, national, and international math competitions.

Many mathematics courses use an online tutorial called ALEKS. Through an artificial intelligence engine and adaptive questioning, this online tutorial assesses a student's knowledge and delivers individualized instruction on the exact topics a student is most ready to learn. It gives the specific help that each child needs to develop skills and experience the satisfaction of completing a concept. The math department provides a morning tutorial Monday through Thursday during the first period.
