Trip Information: Child Development Liberia - here
Child Development Liberia serves 400
children in two PK-12 schools located in some of the most impoverished
communities in Liberia. Valley Christian students are committed to
supporting their efforts in providing for the needs of the whole child -
educational, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. Our team will focus on
supporting their education efforts. Children attend school 5 days per week.
They receive a quality education, a nutritious meal, clean drinking water, and
interactive bible lessons where they learn and experience God’s great love for
them. Our schools are not only a place of learning, they are a safe and
welcoming place of belonging.
Child Development is committed to
Transforming Communities:
Experience has shown that if we can
reach the children, a transformative work will begin in the community. Families
get to see firsthand the amazing change that is happening in their children. We
literally are changing Liberia one child at a time. This is the same
ministry we work with in Nepal.
Trip focus includes:
- Education;
we will spend most of our time supporting and visiting two different schools
- Activities
and outreach within the local community
- Bible
Conference
- Teacher
conference
- Study of Liberian history, including Ebola and civil war
