Just 90 miles south of San Diego, the agricultural areas
surrounding Ensenada are characterized by breath-taking beauty alongside
desperate poverty. The community of Maneadero and the work we are doing there
offers hope and new life for waves of field workers arriving from Southern
Mexico. Unfortunately, there is a severe lack of adequate lodging and many
hard-working families are forced to live in unhealthy, unsafe, sub-standard areas of living. Valley Christian teams have partnered with Baja Bound to
help build over 20 houses over the years. Along with the tangible need of a
house, we support multiple orphanages, conduct feeding programs, and support
the BajaEd initiative sponsoring students and their education.
We are committed long-term to
investing in this community, making an IMPACT as we love and care for our
friends there through prayer, providing houses, and supporting the
educational dreams of youth in the city.
Trip focus includes:

Associated Partner
Valley Christian High School has partnered withBaja Bound over the last six years. Together we have built over 10 houses for the working poor who call Ensenada home. The agricultural areas surrounding Ensenada are characterized by the breathtaking beauty and desperate poverty. For over twenty-five years, Baja Bound has served the needs of this region. Team housing is provided by Baja Bound and is just off the beach in a closed community. Evenings are spent by a fire at team housing as we debrief about our experiences throughout the day.
