Entrepreneurial Mission: Uplifting the poor through coffee
Chiapas is Mexico's Southernmost and poorest state. Located
in the heart of the coffee growing region, discover how coffee is being used to
uplift the poor in Mexico. Develop a global vision for business as ministry by
participating in each process of a coffee company operations, from seed
planting to selling in the international marketplace.
For ministry, we will serve and spend time at Casa Hogar
Alegre children’s home. This home is one of the beneficiaries of Broken Rib
Coffee.
Trip focus includes:
- Serving and caring for the children's home
- Hike tropical coffee fields and meet with rural farm families while learning the process of growing and harvesting coffee
- Explore colonial coffee headquarters Pueblo Magic San Cristobal de las Casas to experience the coffee industry up close.
- Explore the famous "Sumidero Canyon” via boat and encounter crocodiles, spider monkeys, and other tropical animal
