    • Energy and the Environment: Students are introduced to the engineering process. Students investigate the importance of energy in our lives and the impact that using energy has on the environment. They design, model alternative energy sources, and evaluate ways to reduce energy consumption through energy efficiency and waste management techniques. Students will explore nuclear energy and complete a titration laboratory to produce biodiesel fuel.
    • Green Architecture: Green architecture introduces students to architectural plans, construction styles, alternative materials and processes, dimensioning, and measuring and architectural sustainability. Students use a 3D architectural software program to create an environmentally friendly bedroom and kitchen. Students will design and build various projects including their own furniture pieces.
