Course Selection and Class Choice Coming Soon
The Counseling Team is excited to bring back Class Choice to assist students in selecting their courses for the upcoming school year. Class Choice offers a streamlined solution for requesting courses for the next academic year. The system utilizes pre-requisites and past grades to guide students through the course selection process. With this system, students can choose the most appropriate classes to suit their needs. Links will be available to indicate the desire for dual credit and to submit academic acceleration requests.
A video tutorial will be available in March for students and parents to watch, providing an overview of the Class Choice system. Students will log in to Class Choice to select their classes from March 31st through April 7th.
Course Fair for Students During Warrior Time
As students prepare to select courses for the upcoming school year, the counseling team is excited to announce the upcoming Course Fair. To help make choosing classes easier, on March 31 and April 3 during Warrior Time, ninth through eleventh grade students will have the opportunity to learn more about courses they choose from the wide range of classes we offer. On March 31st, we'll spotlight our HUMANITIES offerings, while on April 3rd we will showcase our STEM courses. The Course Fair is designed to empower students in crafting their class schedules for the 2025-2026 school year, ensuring they feel confident and enthusiastic about their choices.
Sophomore Check-Ins
Throughout the month of March, counselors are meeting individually with sophomore students to review their course selections for next year. These 10-15 minute check-ins provide an opportunity for students to ask questions, confirm they are meeting graduation requirements, and ensure their course choices align with their academic and post-high school goals.
Students received general instruction on the course selection process during Navigate time at the end of February, but these one-on-one meetings allow for personalized guidance. Counselors can address specific concerns, offer recommendations, and help students make informed decisions about their junior-year schedules. We encourage students to come prepared with any questions about course rigor, electives, or future plans to make the most of their time with their counselor.
