    Christian College Fair

On Tuesday, September 17 VCHS is hosting the Christian College Fair from 6-8 pm in the Large Gym. Students and families will be able to connect with a number of Christian Universities from across the country. This is a great opportunity for students in all grades and at all stages of the college list-building and application process. This event is open to our local community as well so you are encouraged to share this information with friends and neighbors. Please take the time to register for the event prior to attending. During the registration process, you will be asked to identify the attributes you are currently looking for in a college or university. Your selections will be compared to the attributes of the institutions registered for the fair. You will then be provided a list of matching schools. This list will be useful as you attend the fair and have conversations with the college representatives. Only colleges whom you share your registration barcode at the event with will receive your contact information. Click Here to register.

    Out of State College Fair

We invite students to attend the Out of State College Fair during lunch on Monday, September 23 in the Small Gym. Students are encouraged to speak with various college representatives about their major and the admissions requirements and to ask any questions they may have. This is a fantastic way for ALL STUDENTS, grades 9-12, to be exposed to different out-of-state university options. Students do not need to register ahead of time; they just need to come to the small gym at lunch.

So far, we have twenty-one universities, both public and private, including the University of Illinois Urbana - Champaign, Baylor University, University of Minnesota, Oregon State University, University of Pittsburgh, High Point University, Villanova University, Washington State University, and more!

College Rep Visits on Campus for All Students

Several representatives from colleges and universities visit our campus to meet with Valley Christian students, providing valuable information about their institutions and answering student questions. Most of these visits take place in the months of September and October during open periods and lunch. While students from all grade levels are encouraged to attend, it is especially important for juniors as part of their research and building a college list.

To sign up, students can log into CIALFO, navigate to the pull-down menu on the right, and select “college visits” to browse the list of upcoming visits and register. Be sure to register early as some sessions may reach maximum occupancy.

The 2025 College Road Trip - Midwest

The counseling team is excited to offer students opportunities to visit multiple campuses on a weeklong Road Trip the first week of June. This year, the summer trip is to the Midwest, taking students through Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan to visit schools such as the University of Chicago, Wheaton College Northwestern University, Purdue University, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, University of Michigan, and more! The opportunity to visit campuses while traveling with counselors provides students with an invaluable experience that helps with building a college list and refining what they are looking for in a college. Much is learned about campus styles, locations, sizes, and more. We will also strategically plan activities and dining experiences exposing students to Midwest culture.

Please join us for an info session via Zoom on Wednesday September 18 at 5pm
