  • Service Learning: Mentoring

Service classes are taken during a student's Junior or Senior year.  Here is a description of Service Learning: Mentoring
    •Leadership skills
•Servant mentality; Micah 6:8 “Act justly, Love mercy, Walk humbly”
•“Leadership growth practice in assisting teachers, peer tutoring and supporting freshmen through different events.” NOTE THAT THIS COURSE IS BEING REINVENTED from what used to be “Biblical Leadership”.

    Service Expectations:

•Regular participation in TA service, peer tutoring, and mentoring are required – this is all on-campus and usually during the class period.  There are a few service events outside of class but students can choose which of those one-time events will fit best in their schedules.
•Students are required to fully participate in the service opportunities provided in order to receive credit for their 15 service hours. (Church hours must still be completed individually)
